I love playing paintball. I like the standard 'recball' (go out to a field and play a series of short skirmish games against whoever is there) games a lot, but my absolute favorites are the 26 Hour Scenario Games put on by MXS Sports.
These people absolutely go all out to create an entire story line around an entire weekend of paintball. They usually start the games about Noon on Saturday and play continues until 4AM Sunday - unless both teams agree to stand down sooner to get some rest. That usually happens around 1AM or 2AM if it happens at all.
Game-On resumes at 8AM Sunday and the game ends at around 2PM Sunday afternoon.
After the game there are all sorts of prizes and awards given out which only adds to the fun.
I'm a part-time Atmosphere Developer for MXS, which means that I sometimes help out by writing Character Cards for the games. These are 5x7 cards that are given to the players to describe who they are in this story. Sort of like Live-Action Role-Playing with paintball guns. Most people are just there for the paintball, but the role-playing adds an extra dimension of fun!
Here are some shots of me playing at Tucson's Sudden Impact field.
* Yes, I'm wearing sneakers and white socks. I took a very fast round to the boot during the previous night and it broke my toe. My foot swelled up enough that it wouldn't fit in my boot any more, so my feet look quite silly in these shots.

And here in Silver Creek, OR - cutting through the open to draw fire so my mates can find the bad guys.
